Atlanta Pops Returns to Dublin

Atlanta Pops Orchestra returned to Dublin, Georgia for the 14th consecutive year this past weekend. The two-hour program at Theatre Dublin, sponsored by the Dublin-Lauren Arts Council, included Johann Strauss’ “Voices of Spring,” Claude Debussy’s “The Girl with the Flaxen Hair,” Richard Meyer’s “American Rhapsody” and an arrangement of Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven” among others. The concert also featured Scotty Hall on saxophone and piano, performing Émile Paladilhe’s “Concertante” and George Gershwin’s “Prelude No. 2, Blue Lullaby.” Scotty is the Grand Prize winner of the 2016 Young Artist’s Showcase Scholarship Competition, sponsored by Meadows Regional Medical Center and the Dublin-Laurens Arts Council.
