The Atlanta Pops Orchestra is managed and booked by Altieri & Associates Entertainment Services, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia – Leonard Altieri, President and CEO. Altieri & Associates maintains a booking and contracting department for conventions, event planners, community concert series, Broadway shows and for a diverse array of other attractions.

Dr. Tom Gibson – President
Dr. Tom Gibson is a music professor at Kennesaw State University, Mercer University, and University of West Georgia. He received his Doctorate of Musical Arts from Catholic University, in addition to completing his undergraduate and graduate studies in Music at University of Michigan and University of Northern Colorado, respectively. Tom has performed with U.S. Navy Band, The Atlanta Symphony, The Atlanta Opera, Atlanta Ballet Company and the Joe Gransden Big Band.
Leonard has been a violist with The Atlanta Symphony, The Atlanta Pops Orchestra and has been a performing musician with other regional orchestras and ensembles. He is a musician with over 30 years experience in symphony work, conducting, teaching, tour direction, pit and stage orchestra management, contracting, booking and recording. Leonard is a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University (BFA) and the University of Illinois (MS).
Originally from Savannah, Dorothy Altieri has performed violin with the Atlanta Symphony and the Atlanta Pops Orchestra. She has also held the position of Secretary with the Atlanta Federation of Musicians – Local 148-462, school instrument rental manager for Emile Baran Instruments, and has been CFO for Altieri and Associates since 1972.
Dr. Jason Altieri
Dr. Jason Altieri is currently the Director of Orchestras at the University of Nevada and Associate Conductor for the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra where his duties include the music directorship of the youth orchestra program. He has had regular touring engagements with the New Sigmund Romberg Orchestra and the Hollywood Film Orchestra, taking him on concert tours throughout the United States and Asia. Dr. Altieri received his DMA from Michigan State and has been Music Director and Conductor of the Atlanta Pops Orchestra since 2010.
Kiyo is an active freelancer and a bassoon teacher in the Metro Atlanta area and around the Southeast, regularly playing with the Atlanta Pops Orchestra (BSN & Sax), the Georgia Symphony Orchestra (BSN), the Drive-By Big Band (Bari Sax), Mercury Orkestar (Alto Sax), and the Charleston (SC) Symphony (BSN). He also provides private instructions to his students (i.e., his “Fellow Travelers on the Path of Bassoon”) and presents clinics at various schools around town.
Maria Janus is the booking agent for the Atlanta Pops Orchestra. She graduated from St. Mary’s College with a degree in piano performance and worked with jingle houses in Chicago as a musician contractor and production assistant on commercials. As manager and booking agent for The Chicago Brass Quintet, she booked the quintet in venues throughout the U.S. while developing their series in the city of Chicago. With 30 years of booking experience she now books the Atlanta Pops Orchestra throughout the Southeast and will expand their reach into other regions of the U.S. for the 2015-2016 season.
Kevin has performed drums, percussion and timpani with the Atlanta Pops Orchestra since 2004, including tours of the US and Taiwan. In addition, he has recorded and performed with artists such as Shawn Mullins, Zac Brown, Jennifer Nettles and BoDeans. Kevin is a member of the Board of Governors of the Atlanta Chapter of the National Association of Recording Arts And Sciences (GRAMMYs), and is Creative Technology Director at Definition 6, a digital marketing agency. He is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Music.
Mark Williamson is a Partner at the law firm of Alston & Bird LLP. He has been named in “Best Lawyers in America” and is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. Mark earned his bachelor’s degree in Music from LSU in 1981 and his master’s degree from the University of Texas in 1983, and he was a Member of the United States Air Force Band in Washington, D.C. from 1984 to 1988. After serving in the Air Force, he attended law school at Florida State University, where he graduated with highest honors and served as Executor Editor of the Law Review, and where he is now a member of the Board of Visitors. In additional to his law practice and many community activities, Mark continues to perform professionally, including with the Atlanta Pops.
In addition to his position as Operations Manager & Bow Technician at Voss Violins, Chris is an active freelance violinist, having performed as section leader for orchestral tours of China, Japan, Taiwan, and the U.S. with the Hollywood Festival Orchestra and the New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players. Experienced in many musical genres, Chris has performed in several Broadway productions at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta including Disney’s The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, and Rogers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella as well as on stage with top artists such as Mannheim Steamroller, Sarah McLachlan, LeAnn Rimes, Gloria Estefan, The Temptations, Celtic Woman: Believe (PBS special) and Johnny Mathis. Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance and a Masters Degree in Higher and Postsecondary Education Administration.
